Recap of the 11th annual Salt Lake Off-Road & Outdoor Expo 2026
SLOREX is my Christmas.
I say that every year and I mean it every year. The Salt Lake Off-Road & Outdoor Expo is more than an event to me. It is my time to see my off-road family. The people I talk to all year online. The brands I work with. The friends I only get to hug once or twice a year. It feels like a reunion mixed with pure chaos in the best way.
You walk in and immediately the energy hits you. Tires, suspension, armor, recovery gear and wild builds sitting under bright lights. But what makes it special is not the parts. It is the people standing next to them.
Getting to Present This Year
This year was different for me.
I did not just attend. I got to present.
Standing on that stage at 22 years old talking about trail mapping with onX, responsible land use, and staying on designated routes was a full circle moment. Off-roading is what built my confidence. It is where I learned to trust myself, solve problems, and step into uncomfortable situations. Being able to give back to that same community by teaching responsible recreation means everything.
I talked about planning intentional trail days. Using mapping tools correctly. Downloading offline maps. Sharing routes with your crew. Making sure we are staying on legal trails and protecting access for the next generation.
Afterward, the conversations were the best part. People coming up asking real questions. Wanting to do it right. Wanting to protect public land. That tells me we are heading in the right direction.
The Floor Energy
When I was not on stage, I was walking the vendor hall catching up with everyone and filming for the SLOREX socials.
SLOREX is where relationships get built face to face. It is where online friendships turn into real life connections. It is where brand partnerships start with a handshake and a conversation instead of just a DM.
I saw insane builds this year. I saw kids wide eyed looking at rock crawlers like they were superheroes. I saw families spending the whole day together. I saw women confidently stepping into the space and asking questions about builds and parts.
That matters.
This industry is growing. And it is growing in a healthy way when education and community stay at the center.
My Off-Road Family
This event is my time to reconnect with my off-road family.
The hugs.
The “we finally get to meet in person.”
The quick catch ups that turn into long conversations.
The late nights talking about builds and future plans.
There is something really special about being surrounded by people who understand why you love this lifestyle. The early mornings. The broken parts. The long drives to trails. The hours in the garage.
It feels like home.
Leaving With a Full Heart and a Full List
This year I left with a heart completely full.
And also a list completely full.
New connections.
New opportunities.
New collaborations.
New ideas for builds and content.
New goals.
That is what SLOREX does for me. It fills my cup and pushes me forward at the same time. It reminds me why I started. It reminds me why I build. It reminds me why I share.
I am grateful for every conversation, every handshake, every person who came up to say hi, and every single person who showed up to support the event.
Already counting down to next year!
